What is SEG Detection?

Secure Email Gateways (SEGs) are email security solutions that inspect and filter incoming emails before they reach recipients.

Recipients protected by SEGs often have stricter email security policies, making outreach emails more difficult to deliver.

PlusVibe detects whether a recipient is protected by an SEG before sending, allowing you to choose whether to send to or skip those recipients.

How It Works

Before sending each email, PlusVibe checks whether the recipient's domain is protected by a Secure Email Gateway.

  • No SEG detected: The email is sent normally.

  • SEG detected: PlusVibe follows your campaign setting:

    • SEG Detection Enabled: The email is sent.

    • SEG Detection Disabled: The recipient is skipped, and the campaign continues with the next lead.

When it is Enabled (Default):

When enabled, PlusVibe will send emails to all recipients, including those protected by detected Secure Email Gateways (SEGs).

Note: Sending to Leads with SEG is enabled by default for all campaigns

When it is Disabled:

When disabled, PlusVibe automatically detects recipients protected by Secure Email Gateways and skips them during campaign sending.

This option is recommended if you want to avoid sending to recipients who may be more difficult to reach due to stricter email security.

Why Use SEG Detection?

Organizations that use Secure Email Gateways typically have stricter email filtering policies. As a result, outreach emails are often less likely to reach the recipient's inbox.

By identifying these recipients before sending, SEG Detection helps you:

  • Reduce unnecessary email sends.

  • Improve campaign efficiency.

  • Focus your sending capacity on recipients with a higher chance of successful delivery.

While SEG Detection cannot guarantee inbox placement, it helps avoid sending to recipients who are generally more difficult to reach due to their organization's email security.
