Ensuring your leads have valid email addresses is key to maintaining high deliverability and strong sender reputation. In this article, we'll walk you through every available way to validate emails on our platform.


1. Validating Emails During CSV Upload

When you're importing leads, we give you the option to automatically validate emails during upload. Here's how:

  1. Go to Leads > Import Leads.

  2. Upload your CSV file.
    ​
    ​

  3. On the review step, enable the "Verify Leads" toggle.

  1. Once the import is complete, you’ll see validation results:
    ​
    ​

    • βœ… Safe to send
      ​
      ​

    • ? Based on the campaign settings, this 'Risky' email will be skipped automatically
      ​
      ​

    • If the address is not found, the lead will be skipped
      ​
      ​

This is the easiest way to clean your data before it even enters the system.


2. Validating Leads Inside Campaigns

You can manually validate emails at any time from within a lead list.

  1. Navigate to Leads.
    ​
    ​

  2. Select Verify Leads.
    ​

  3. Click the Actions dropdown and choose "Verify the leads on this page or Verify all leads".
    ​
    ​

  4. The system will run verification in real time and update the status next to each lead.
    ​
    ​

This is great for spot-checking or cleaning up leads you've added manually or via integrations.


3. Using enrichment workflows in lead lists

You can manually validate emails at any time from within a lead list.

  1. Navigate to Prospect Lists & Enrichment Leads.

  2. Select the list you want to verify.
    ​
    ​

  3. Select Add Enrichment.
    ​

  4. Click the Verify Email option and choose "Verify the leads on this page or Verify all leads".
    ​

  5. The system will run verification in real time and update the status next to each lead.

Best Practices for Verification

  • Always validate leads before launching a cold email campaign.

  • Re-verify older leads β€” even good emails can go stale.
    ​
    ​

  • Avoid sending to risky or invalid statuses unless you're 100% sure.
